Big Shot meets Matchbox

Last month we explored the way we can use the Sizzix

Matchbox die, a Stampin’ Up! exclusive to create some great treat holders.  One of my Hostesses last month had asked if I could show here some ideas for table favors for a bridal shower she was hosting for a friend and this die is perfect for that wow item.

Matchbox-Butterfly-Wedding-

We added the butterfly by using Vellum Cardstock and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit

It turned out quite stunning and the bride was thrilled.  But not everyone this month was planning a wedding so I switched the colors up  a bit and made a similar one in my monthly Big Shot Class.

Matchbox-2-drawers-Oct-2011

By simply changing the belly band to the Spice Cake Designer Paper and adding some Pool Party Ribbon and matching Designer Brads we transformed our gift to a more casual look to give away at Thanksgiving.

It’s fall punch art time…

I know this isn’t a picture of a huge bowl of cider but it sure does make you think about fall. Smile

Scarecrow-Oct-2011-Punch-cl

Each month I have a class about how to use the wonderful punches

Stampin’ Up! has to offer.  Can you see how the Petite Pennant Builder Punch made a great hat and sleeves for this little guy.

The other element on here that was not made with a punch was the scrapes I used for the patches on his clothes.

Can you guess what all the other ones were?

If you are interested in attending this class contact me for the details.  I can also bring this class to you and with the great Hostess Bonus Promotion that is going on now thru December 15th holding a punch workshop is also lots of fun.

In case you missed last months Witch Punch Art here is the sample again.

So call up a few friends and  Contact me today to book your personalized workshop!

Halloween Big Shot Class

The Big Shot is an all time favorite tool of mine and as many of you know from coming to my classes and clubs it is always put to use.  Last month we were getting ready for Halloween and used some fun items.

Halloween-Big-Shot-Class-20

We used Bitty Box die to make not only the box but the envelope that those adorable ghosts are coming out of on the card.  Yes the envelope is on the same die as the box.  Two for one!

Fun-Folds-Flower-Halloween-

Now here was a fun way to play with the Fun Folds Die.  We made a black flower that was embossed with the Spider Web Embossing Folder and tucked it into the Bitty Box.  I can just see all those guests opening that up with a chocolate treat in the middle of it can’t you.

And of course you could get the Big Shot for free for just a couple more days.

Halloween Treats for You

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I really like using these treat cups for small little surprises.  I know I don’t have anything in it yet but I will.  All I have to do is get to the store for some candy cones yum.  And it will be super easy to add them too.  Just pull out that tag with the ribbon attached and like magic there is an access spot in the back to fill it up.  How easy is that.  And this little guy sits up with it’s own since I added some supports in the back so I can use it as a place setting or table décor.

And the best part is the 1 3/4” circle punch makes it a snap to punch the hole in the stamped image from the Sweet Centers Stamp Set for the treat cup to fit in.

This was another project in our monthly Hostess Club last month.  Email me and find out how you too can enjoy making these great projects!

More Simply Scored Rosettes

Who would have thought that you could turn a rosette into in a Halloween card.
Well with the right colors and paper it can be done!!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Using your Basic Gray, Black and some of the Peach Parfait from the 2010-2011 In Color line it worked wonderfully.

Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Mini made a great pair up for this.  I of course used the new Simply Scored Tool to make the rosette which you can see how to use in my video from an earlier post.

Gently Falling Leaves

This was a card that everyone made in September at our monthly

Hostess Club.  I received the Gently Falling stamp set FREE from Stampin’ Up! as part of the new benefit plan for demonstrators and I am just loving it.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And I really like the Spice Cake Fabric and Designer Buttons.

I used the Rock & Roll stamping technique to create the two tones on the leaves and by cutting one out and raising it up with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals it finished off this simple card.
