I am so excited about hosting the 2020 Artful Autumn Retreat this year.  It has certainly been a challenge but I want everyone to know that we are making this a very safe event and here is how we are going to accomplish that.
  • Number of attendees will be limited in order to maintain over the top social distancing.
  • Only one person per table
  • Tables will be organized by friends you wish to sit with and breaks in the tables between groups.  No continuous rows.
  • Isles will be extra wide so social distancing can be maintained while walking from your table.
  • Friends will be kept with their friends for all activities
  • Make -n- takes will be organized into smaller groups that are made up of your friends.
  • Extra supplies will be provided to maintain smaller make n take groups.  ie: where needed there will be two or more stations of the same make n take and you will be assigned to a specific station with your friends.
  • All optional classes will be offered with a ‘to go’ option so they can be done at your own table.
  • All meals will be individually served to be eaten at your own table, in your guest room, outside or at a large round table with no more than 4 at a table
  • Shared supplies will be frequently sanitized and hand sanitizer will be available.
  • Guest temperature and health questions will be monitored at check in.  You will have the option to use a QR code to do this.
  • Masks or face shields will be required when not at your own table. One will be provided if you don’t have one.
As any past guest can tell you the Marriott hotel is extremely clean and the staff goes out of the way to make everything perfect for us.  At this time we are the only group that will be using the hotel this weekend and they have moved us to their grand ballroom to accommodate the social distancing safety.  That is almost 3 times the space we normally use so you can see that with a limit on the number of guest we will be very spread out.  I want to assure each of you that safety is a top priority of both myself and Marriott hotels.
The make n takes will be set up for you to do the entire weekend so you will have plenty of opportunity work on them in small numbers. And of course you always have the option of creating your own with the supplies!!
