I have a few friends that are bird lovers of an epic degree and if you do then these crafty items are for you and them!
I wanted to share with you the Toile Tidings Suite from Stampin’ Up! and what better way to impress those bird lovers.
Once I made the gift tag I couldn’t resist to add that cute item to a card. I’m glad I did because I loved the way it turned out by partnering it up with the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper
So that you can create this yourself I have a step by step video to share with all of the colors and dimensions.
Either the Real Red or the Garden Green print in the designer paper would look lovely but I had more of the green left so that is what I grabbed. Love how the Glitter Enamel Dots dress it up.
I also used the Subtles Embossing Folder to add a bit of texture on the Stitched Label to WOW up the background. Did you catch those gold foil swirls tucked in there? They are some of the extra elements included with the Christmas Cardinal Dies.
Once I started to play around with this I wanted to make a card that I could replicate quickly and came up with this one.
Since I was going to make quite a few of these I wanted something super simple. I embossed the background with the scripted embossing folder and used the Toile Tiding Gift Wrap instead of the designer paper. Love that the gift wrap is a bit thinner that the DSP so it creates a very delicate feel to the card. I know that the cardinal screams to be colored but again I was looking for quick so I inked it up with Real Red ink then used my black marker to color over the feet and the area around his head right onto the stamp before I stamped it onto the vanilla cardstock. An element from the Stitched Label Dies and some Real Red ribbon finished it off.
