It always amazes me that Halloween is a huge decorating event for just a few hours of scary fun. But I totally get it since the creative juices really seems to flow for this. This year I’m going to be adding this super cute tag to my chocolate bar handouts.
I know this one is a bit layered but hey that is what I’m all about, layers and lots of them LOL
Starting from back to front here is a quick tutorial. I started with a 6″ x 2″ piece of that oh so awesome black and white floral pattern from the Magic in this Night Designer Paper. I rounded the top corners and used the Triple Banner Punch at the bottom.
Next layer uses the largest label die from the Halloween Magic Dies to cut out a piece of Purple Posy cardstock that I then embossed with the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder, of course I put then on with demensionals. For the next layer I used the smaller label die and cut a piece out of a piece the designer paper that has the spiders all over it. I stamped right onto that with the stamp that matches that shape from the Hallows Night Magic Stamp Set with versamark and heat set some black embossing powder. That is also put on with dimensionals.
I cut the two black backs right out of another pattern of the designer paper using the bat dies. I love how Stampin’ Up! created dies that match the shapes in the paper, super cool! Those too were also put on with dimensionals. There is also a die that cut out the smaller bats and I used Purple Posy cardstock again for those and then did a bit of a splatter on those for some added texture as you can see in this next photo.
I stamped the spider with versamark and again heat embossed on some Smoky Slate cardstock and then used another of the dies to cut that out. I did put him on with a dimensional but on layer 2 not 3.
I stamped my “There is Magic in this Night” verse with Blackberry Bliss ink and punched it out with a circle die but you can certainly use a1 3/8″ circle punch for that too. I layered that onto a piece of black cardstock that I had die cut with the largest circle out of the Tasteful Labels Dies. Then it too was added to the tag using dimensionals with the smallest of the bats added on top with a Mini Dimensional, do you love those as much as I do?
I finished my tag off with some 6″ of that luscious Metallic Ribbon and 9″ of Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Have fun making your own Halloween tags and treats and I would love to see what you did. Pop on over to my Stampers Club Facebook Group and share your creations!
