Well it is certainly fall here in Michigan. Daylight savings time ends tomorrow which is great for me since I’m not a morning person and I will get that extra hour of sleep and maybe still get up early. Yay for all of you night owls.
Since I love fall colors this card was an easy inspiration for me. I had a bit of designer paper still left from my pack of Gather Together Designer Series Paper so I grabbed a piece of the wooden plank design and did a bit of heat embossing for my greeting right on the paper. Gasp!! I know what you’re thinking, what if it doesn’t turn out that great. Well then you get out another piece since there are two 12 x 12 sheets of it in the pack you can have some extra.
I wanted to get that muted feel on the leaves so I pulled out my watercolor paper and created a blended pallet of colors before I die cut them with the Gathered Leaves dies that come in the bundle. Love, love, love that the leaves not only cut but emboss as well. You can see all of the details on creating this card in my video
