This “Country Woods” greeting card is a perfect example of how simplicity can be both elegant and heartfelt. Today’s Makin’ It Monday card is made using the Country Birdhouse Bundle from the Stampin’ Up! Country Woods Collection, focuses on a beautifully scripted sentiment complemented by delicate die-cut flowers and leaves.

The card design emphasizes the sentiment “hoping you have the best day ever” as the central element, making it the star of the card. The subtle yet striking embellishments—small flowers and leaves—add just the right amount of color and texture to enhance the overall look without overwhelming the simplicity of the design in keeping with my Makin’ It Monday cards made simple theme. In this detailed guide, you will learn how to assemble this stunning Country Woods greeting card step-by-step. From preparing the card base to adding the final embellishments, each step is carefully explained to help you recreate this beautiful card with ease. Materials Needed:

  • Country Birdhouse Bundle (Stampin’ Up!)
  • Cardstock:
    • Pebbled Path cardstock for the card base
    • White cardstock for the top layer
  • Ink:
    • Misty Moonlight ink for the sentiment
  • Dies:
    • Flower and leaf dies from the Country Woods Suite Collection
  • Adhesives:
    • Double-sided tape or glue
    • Dimensionals for dimension
  • Embellishments:
    • Basic Gray & Smoky Slate pearls for flower centers

Tools Needed:

  • Die-cutting machine
  • Paper trimmer
  • Stamp block or stamping tool

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Card Base:
    • Cut a piece of Pebbled Path cardstock to 5.5″ x 8.5″. Score and fold it in half to create a 4.25″ x 5.5″ card base.
  2. Cut the Layers:
    • Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 5/8″ x 3 3/8″ for the first layer.
    • Cut a piece of Pebbled Path cardstock to 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ for second layer.
    • Cut another piece of white cardstock to 4″ x 2 3/4″ for the top layer.
  3. Stamp the Sentiment:
    • Using Misty Moonlight ink, stamp the sentiment “hoping you have the best day ever ” in the center of the 4″ x 2 3/4″ white cardstock piece.
  4. Die-Cut the Flowers and Leaves:
    • Using the flower and leaf dies from the Country Woods Suite Collection, die-cut three flowers and a double leaves from Petal Pink, Misty Moonlight and Soft Seafoam cardstock scraps
  5. Assemble the Flowers and Leaves:
    • Arrange the die-cut flowers and leaves around the sentiment.
    • Once you are satisfied with the placement, adhere the flowers and leaves using glue dots. For added dimension, you can use a dimensional on one of the flowers.
  6. Add Embellishments:
    • Place Basic Gray & Smoky Slate pearls in the center of each flower to add a touch of elegance.
  7. Assemble the Card Layers:
    • Adhere the 4 5/8″ x 3 3/8″ Basic White cardstock layer to the center of the card base using double-sided tape or glue.
    • Adhere the 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ Pebbled Path cardstock piece
    • Adhere the 4″ x 2 3/4″ Basic White cardstock piece with the sentiment and embellishments to the center of the 4″ x 5.25″ layer.

Final Touch:

  • Ensure all elements are securely adhered and the card is clean and neat. Your Country Woods greeting card is now complete and ready to brighten someone’s day!
