With the Paradise Palms Bundle you can create a super sweet retirement card that would make anyone want to relocate to a warm sunny place. As you may know I winter in Florida so this was a must have bundle that needed to be part of my stamp collection.
The What:
I’ve partnered this up with some of the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper that is included in the bundled Friendly Hello Stamp Set and Designer Paper that you can select during Sale-a-bration for FREE! with any $100 purchase and if you are like me that is not hard to achieve when it comes to adding variety to your stamp collection. When you see this designer paper you will be inspired to create a variety of cards since there is both floral prints in both soft and bold colors but it also some same stripes and dots patterns as well so you can mix and match with stash and make every card fresh and exciting.
Step by Step Tutorial: Paradise Palms Retirement Card
If you are the kind of person that wants to stamp along with my and make this card I’ve created a step-by-step video just for you!!
The How:
I started out with some Granny Apple Green cardstock and then added a layer of Basic White cardstock that I embossed using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The tropical granny apple green designer paper which is matted with a narrow border of some more Granny Apple Green cardstock, which really shows off the pattern, was then added to my card. I chose to not stamp the palm trees but to cut them out with the ides using a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock for a bold contrast. I add a bit of White Frayed Ribbon and attached the greeting label with Black Bakers Twine. As you can see there are some alternate greetings in the Paradise Palms Stamp Set and this particular card layout fits a variety of occasions.

- Basic White Layer – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Granny Apple Green Layer – 2 3/4″ x 4″
- Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper Layer – 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″
The WOW!
By using just the die on some scrap Black Cardstock and placed against the Granny Apple Green makes for a simple yet bold statement. With this card who wouldn’t look forward to retirement in a tropical paradise!
