Welcome back, my fellow crafters! Take It Up a Tuesday has arrived, and I couldn’t be more excited to share today’s stunning handmade card with you all.
As featured yesterday on Makin’ It Monday, I delved into the beauty of the Softly Sophisticated Bundle, a delightful offering available for free with purchase during Stampin’ Up!’s annual Sale-a-Bration sale. This bundle includes the Softly Sophisticated stamp set and Embossing Folder, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer!
For both cards showcased today, I utilized the embossing folder on basic white cardstock. Why settle for simplicity when you can add a touch of pizzazz effortlessly? Embossing folders are a personal favorite of mine, as they infuse an incredible amount of detail into any card with minimal effort and cost. Having a few basic folders in your stamping collection can last you years in your card-making journey.
To elevate the design further, I incorporated a splash of color and texture with the Poetic Expression Designer Series Paper. Doesn’t it just make the focal point of the card leap out at you? Now I know we all have stacks of designer paper so bring it out and let’s USE it!
And let’s not forget about the ribbon – this time, I upgraded to a bow because, well, who doesn’t love a beautiful bow?
But wait, there’s more! To truly take this card up a notch, I stamped the greeting on basic white cardstock and elevated it with dimensionals. Another staple item you need to have in your stash. It’s amazing how just these three simple additions can transform a card from elegant to sophisticated. Pun intended!
