There is nothing like some Sweet Conversations for Valentines Day and nothing does it better than the Sweet Talk Suite featured in the Stampin’ Up! 2022 January-June Mini Catalog. When you want to say I love you then give your sweetheart this handmade card!

The What:

Did you know that Valentines Day is the 2nd most popular day for sending cards and over 143 million cards are sent to significant others, family and friends each year! Wow that’s a lot of stamps, ink and paper for sure. St. Valentines Day was official established in 496AD and celebrated on February 14th, but the tradition of flowers, gifts and cards didn’t start until the 18th century, and here most of us think of this as a hallmark holiday. Who knew?

Sweet Conversations Card

Step by Step Video Tutorial: Sweet Talk Collection

If you are the kind of person that wants to stamp along with my and make this card I’ve created a step-by-step video just for you!!

https://youtu.be/1Euh7-c80GI

The How:

If you have been watching my videos then you know by now that I really like to add ribbon to my cards. By doing so I think that it adds a lot of texture and character to them, which I’m a big fan of. Although this time it is not a bow. Shocking! With this card I’m using it as a background under that delightful row of hearts. As you can see the heart die that is part of the Sweet Hearts Dies is not the that long so I cut two of them out and put one starting at the top of the card and the other one near the bottom. The tag and envelope cover up the gap so you don’t need to worry about filling it in.

I also used the Stripes 3D Embossing Folder to add additional texture to the Basic White Layer.

Cutting Guide:

  • Basic White Layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Sweet Talk Designer Paper Layer: 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″

The WOW! How to Sweet Talk

There are several die cut elements being used on this card, some of which are simple die cut out and used as intended. Yet others were stamped first and then die cut and even some that were stamped after they were die cut.
