Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the designer paper. It’s an absolute must-have coordinate that brings the whole suite of products together. And let me tell you, it’s the perfect complement to the card I’ve crafted today!
Yesterday’s Makin’ It Monday card with the Trusty Tools set was just the beginning, but today, we’re kicking things up a notch. I’ve stepped up the card by starting with a bit darker card base using Pebbled Path cardstock and adding an additional Basic White mat behind the Trusty Toolbox paper. It’s all about creating depth and dimension!
But here’s where things get really exciting – I’ve swapped out the focal point cardstock layers, starting with a mat of Basic White and then die-cutting the Pebbled Path with one of the Trusty Tools dies that creates a very realistic pegboard. How cool is that? It’s like bringing a workshop to life on paper!
Now, let’s talk tools. I’ve used the same images from the Trusty Tools stamp set but stepped it up by using the matching dies to cut them out, creating a more visual 3D effect that really makes the card pop. And to give them that extra ‘pop,’ I’ve used my trusty stampin’ dimensionals – seriously, if you don’t already have these in your crafting arsenal, you’re missing out!
I even added a pencil image, using some Masking Paper to mask off the pencil top before stamping it in Crushed Curry color, leaving the tip gray. And to add that realistic touch, I colored in the pencil tip where it would be sharpened using a blender pen and a dash of Copper Clay ink.
To finish things off, I wrapped all the tools up with some linen thread and hung them on the pegboard. And by adding a few Glossy Dots, it looks like there’s some serious work getting done! A quick “Thank You” greeting, and voila – the perfect masculine card is complete!
