I will say that the Soaring Swallows Bundle in the Jan – June 2022 mini catalog is truly an amazing set. I love that the set allows me to create simple yet elegant cards that can also be used for the gentlemen in my life.
I’ve created this card as a vertical open card, which means I started with a piece of Basic Gray cardstock cut at 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″. I then embossed the front half with the Bark 3D embossing folder to create a cloud like background. Don’t you think it fits with the birds?
I then added some of the luscious Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper matted with a bit of black cardstock to create that focal background. One I cut the swallows out using the Swallows Dies and some scraps of Basic Black, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate I layered them together mixing and matching the colors and added them using my all time favorite dimensionals.
For the greeting I wanted to continue with that elegant theme so I used the heat embossing technique with gold powder and cut it out with another one of the dies in this versatile set.
