It’s “Takin’ It Up Tuesday,” and today we’re transforming the simplicity of the “Country Woods” Makin’ It Monday card into a piece of art. This revamped card keeps the same basic layout but adds a few tweaks to step up its design with minimal effort. Using the Country Birdhouse Bundle from Stampin’ Up!, this tutorial will show you how to incorporate textures and colors to create a stunning card that has a fun outdoorsy, artistic feel.

The original “Country Woods” greeting card was already a delight, but by embossing the second layer with a Timber 3D embossing folder and adding a piece of the Country Woods Designer Series Paper, the card gains additional texture and color. The designer paper choice of another woodgrain pattern with vibrant colors brightens the card and gives it an artsy look. Instead of a flat piece of cardstock for the greeting, the Nested Essentials dies provide a lovely stitched shape, adding dimension and elegance. These dies are an absolute must-have for any card maker—they offer versatile shapes and intricate stitching that make any project stand out. Placing the Nested Essential element onto to what I call my Stampin’ Diamonds but the rest of the world calls Dimensionals really brings that greeting to it’s premium status on the card as a card is meant to be, a greeting. The addition of more flowers and mixed media for the flower centers further enhances the card’s artistic appeal.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to assemble this transformed Country Woods greeting card step-by-step. Whether you’re an experienced card maker or just starting, this project will inspire you to take your crafting to the next level and create a true piece of art. By investing in the Country Woods Collection, you’ll have all the tools you need to make your cards truly special.
