I had a blast hosting another YouTube live session, and having you join me made it all the more enjoyable. Sharing the process of creating two beautiful cards and a charming treat holder using the Detailed Dogwood and Softly Sophisticated Stamp sets, both available for free during Sale-a-Bration, was an absolute treat for me as well.

If you’re seeking further inspiration with the Softly Sophisticated stamp set, then you’re in luck! Be sure to check out my latest “Takin’ it Up Tuesday” post for an extra dose of creative ideas.

The Softly Sophisticated stamp set has undoubtedly captured the hearts of many with its elegant designs and versatile elements. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting out, there’s something in this set for everyone.

The color palette I used for these projects is incredibly soothing. Combining Pool Party and Lemon Lolly creates a delightful blend reminiscent of warm sunshine wrapping around you.

For my first card, I stamped the Detailed Dogwood image slightly offset and utilized Stampin’ Blends for coloring. I’m a huge fan of Blends because they effortlessly elevate the artwork, making me look like an artist even though I’m not. Their alcohol-based nature allows the colors to blend seamlessly, mirroring the natural beauty of the flower. Adding some accent stamps gave the card a subtle vintage charm. I incorporated the Softly Stippled designer paper, another free item during Sale-a-Bration, to infuse character into the design. The sentiment, from the Softly Sophisticated set, was die-cut using the Thoughtful Expressions die set, which has quickly become a favorite of mine. Almost to the point of an obsession. I’m sure I am not alone in that feeling when it comes to stamping tools. Now let’s talk about that ribbon – it’s also a free item, and it undeniably adds a “wow” factor to any project. You may not know about how I feel about ribbon, for me it brings the project to life.

Detailed Dogwood Sympathy Greeting Card

For my second card, I maintained the same color scheme, designer paper, and image but opted for a unique die set called Everyday Details for cutting the image. This set features round and rectangle dies with tiny circles around the border, accentuating the Detailed Dogwood artwork beautifully. The embossing was done using yet another free Sale-a-Bration item, the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder. This card is perfect for sending to someone in need of a pick-me-up or whom you haven’t connected with in a while. Whereas the first card could serve as a thoughtful sympathy card.

Detailed Dogwood Greeting Card

Now, onto that adorable tiny treat holder. A unique box like this triangular one is sure to convey to the recipient just how special they are. Handmade gifts always add a personal touch. Sticking to the same cardstock color combo ensures a coordinated look, especially if you plan to gift the treat alongside the card – I’m all about that matchy-matchy style! I used another Everyday Details die to create an embellishment, stamped with images from the Detailed Dogwood set. The small flower image conveniently coordinates with the Petal Park builder Punch, making it a breeze to create and add onto the treat holder for an additional 3D effect.

So, if you’re looking to stock up on crafting goodies and score some awesome freebies in the process, now’s the time to do it! Sale-A-Bration won’t last forever, so don’t miss out on the chance to treat yourself to some crafting treasures.

For those who prefer written instructions, there’s a tutorial available for download, providing all the cutting instructions to craft along with the video.
