Welcome back to Makin’ it Monday, where I’ve chosen to create an easy yet stunning card with the Notes of Nature Stamp Set is the star of the show! Today, simplicity takes center stage with a card that proves less is truly more.
As usual I couldn’t resist adding a touch of ribbon to this design, but fear not – it’s merely a subtle accent. No bows, no intricate tying – just a simple piece of cardstock to complement the overall look. Call it a stroke of artistic license!
To elevate the card’s appearance, I incorporated scoring along the outside edges of the basic white cardstock layer. While I used my Simply Scored scoring board for this step, you can achieve similar results with a paper trimmer equipped with a scoring blade.
For the focal point, I opted for two background-type images from the stamp set – a delicate leaf and a heartfelt greeting. By selectively choosing which images to use, I maximize the versatility of my stamp set, ensuring that every image gets its moment to shine on different cards.
Keeping the color palette minimal is key to maintaining visual balance. With just a few carefully selected ink colors, the design remains harmonious and elegant.
One of my favorite aspects of crafting simple cards like these is their efficiency. With a handful of these beauties in my card stash, I’m always prepared for those last-minute occasions. Plus, they come together in a mere five minutes each – talk about a time-saver!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Makin’ It Monday card as much as I enjoyed creating it. Stay tuned for my Take It Up Tuesday version, coming your way tomorrow! More inspiration in the meantime can be found in the Trusty Tools Takin’ It Up Tuesday.
