Hey, stampers! Ready to see the Painted Lavender card from Makin’ It Monday get a little makeover? Let’s jazz things up a bit!

Painted Lavender stepped up card

Monday’s card was simple and classy, but if you’re all about taking it to the next level, here’s how it’s done:

  • Fancy Focal Point: I kept the main focus on those lovely lavender spikes but used the Painted Lavender die set to cut them out. Then, I bundled them together with some linen thread for a touch of charm. Does this just not say “Would you like some flowers my dear”
  • Designer Series Paper: The Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, part of the Stampin’ Up! suite of products, features intense colors and subtle patterns. I swapped out the basic white cardstock with this beautiful paper to infuse vibrancy into the card.

  • Layering Love: Adding a Deckled Rectangle layer with Basic White cardstock kept things classy against the patterned backdrop.
  • Embossed Texture: To mimic the scored lines from the original card, I searched for the perfect embossing folder and stumbled upon the Stripes Embossing Folder. Dry embossing with this folder added depth and dimension, enhancing the overall look of the card.
  • Angled Greeting Label: The same greeting label from the original card was positioned diagonally across the card to maintain the elegant style and visual interest.
