Hey stampers, welcome back to Makin’ It Monday! Today, I’m thrilled to share a lovely Painted Lavender card that’s sure to inspire your creativity.

With just stamps, ink, and paper, you can create beautiful handmade greeting cards that are both elegant and heartfelt. While the Painted Lavender stamp set offers matching dies for cutting out stamped images and decorative accents, today’s focus is on the art of Simple Stamping.

Simple greeting card made with the Painted Lavender stamp set. Simple stamping.

I began by selecting Thick Basic White cardstock for the card base, providing a sturdy foundation that adds a premium feel to the finished card. For the card front, I opted for standard Basic White cardstock, renowned for its smooth surface that takes ink beautifully. The Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape colors used to stamp the Painted Lavender flowersblend seamlessly, imparting richness without any bleeding. Who likes a messy card, right.

To add a touch of elegance, I used my Simply Scored Scoring Board to create a few vertical lines along one edge. Here’s a quick tip: if you’ve already stamped your image, place it face down on the scoring board to ensure that your score lines protrude outward on the cardstock’s face, adding dimension to your design.

I also utilized Stampin’ Dimensionals to elevate my greeting, enhancing the overall look with a touch of dimension – a classic technique that never fails to impress. I have a huge stash of these and you should too. They are a MUST in your crafting.
